New Superintendent Appointed

The Newfane School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James (Jay) Lupini as the next Superintendent of the Newfane Central School District.  Mr. Lupini was appointed by a unanimous vote at a special meeting of the Board of Education on Sunday, June 30th, 2024.  Mr. Lupini’s professional journey began in 2001 with his appointment as a Middle School Science teacher in the Buffalo Public Schools. He later served as a Technology specialist and a Supervisor of Instructional Programs for Erie 2 BOCES from 2008 to 2014. Lupini began his administrative career as an Assistant High School Principal in the Depew Central Schools. After three years in that role, he was appointed as the Principal of Depew Middle School in 2016. In 2020, Lupini was appointed as the Executive Secondary Principal responsible for leadership of both Depew Middle and Depew High School.
